FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (February 2, 2017) – The organizations of the Spirit of Rosa Parks events issued a statement of regret that the Purple Philanthropy Sheila E. Benefit Concert will not be coming to Montgomery, Alabama on March 4, 2017.

The Spirit of Rosa Parks Awards Gala will change its location from the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre to the RSA Activity Center, 201 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, AL  36104.  The Hackathon remains at MPACT, 2901 East South Boulevard, Montgomery, AL  36116, from 9 am until 12 noon.  The Rape of Recy Taylor featured segment and panel discussion remain at Alabama State University from 1pm – 3pm. 

All concert ticket holders will be fully refunded through the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre box office or TicketMaster, where tickets were purchased.
